Where did your carpet in the sps tank go ?

It is dead:( I am not sure why but suspect the clarkii pestered it to death. It was constantly burying itself in the carpet's mouth and wouldn't leave it alone. A couple days before dying the carpet started walking and the clownfish followed. It was floating dead on the sand yesterday morning with it's mouth extruded. I won't buy another one either.

Looking good Dave. I like the black sand.

I noticed some diatoms and green fuzzy algae on the sand the last week. I checked out my phosphate reactor and saw that the GFO wasn't tumbling like it had been. I guess after seven weeks the sponges inside the reactor were so filthy that flow was impeded and water was channeling through a small area. I took the reactor offline and the sponges were jam-packed with detritus, after cleaning the media is fluidized like it should be. Lesson to self, clean phosphate reactor sponges q one month as well as the carbon reactor.

Looks good Dave.

I need to get Chelsey over here for a tutorial on how to use a camera;) You want to bribe her somehow:lol:? Tanks look much better in person.
