Reef Bass- After seeing your Pearlberry close ups, I had to post that picture. I tried raising the iso to rid the blue after seeing how natural your photos looked. Can I process raw formats on Picassa? I have Picassa and I am an expert in the 'I'm feeling lucky' button. Wish there was a 'reef-mode' option on my camera, but formatting sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for your advice.

Usually cameras that can shoot in RAW come with software to enable RAW processing. Canon provides Digital Photo Pro. I use Photoshop. There are free RAW converters available as well (Gimp?). I don't know about Picassa.

Raising ISO won't affect colors. ISO is like the old "film speed / ASA" rating. Higher ISO is more light sensitive, but noisier. A practical tweak of ISO would be to raise it when one could not hand hold a shot in a dark environment, or when one can't get the proper exposure even with the lens wide open (low f number).

Aperature, shutterspeed and ISO are the holy trinity of exposure. Changing any one of them can affect exposure and to maintain a similar exposure if you change one, one of the others needs to be adjusted. Finding the right combination for the shot you are taking is part of the art of photography.

Like JC i definitely need to download a post processing program soon. My photos look like crap compared to yours. At least I now have an eye for quality pictures. Every picture I've been looking at here and the photography section, I've been noticing the details a lot more.
