Now that I see the sump I am wondering how it works ? It looks like the water would cascade into the return pump section creating micro bubbles. Also it looks as if the water level has to stay exact or it will go over the top ( middle baffle ) and if the water level decreases it will run the pump dry,am I missing something ?

I have a similar sump and you are pretty much right on it gary. although when the water cascades to the return pump section it doesnt create micro bubbles, at least on my setup, and yea if the water decreases then the pump does run dry :S but an ATO obviously takes care of that. is that how you have it aron?

Cb was well behaved, left all my corals And sponge alone. Liked to mess with my
Clowns though.

I've never had a problem with the sump, except when the water was real low. Then a top off would fix the problem. Never had water run over the middle baffle either, the sump has worked perfect for me.
