Few things Needed

Hey guys and gals.

I need a few things for my 300 Gallon Setup that I thought I would post here before ordering online or picking up at the LFS.

I need a Calcium Reactor, something that will handle about 420 gallons of total water volume. Ideally a Geo 818, but I am open to what you have.

I need Ozone, also. Needs to be large enough to handle 420 gallons of total water volume also.

I also am looking for an Automatic Top off System for my tank. Something that is reliable and easy to use (Not asking much am I.....LOL)


I could use some suggestions as to what else people might recommend for my set up to make it very self contained. I would like to get this system to be able to handle a lot of different corals and bio load.

dude Kevin has had that Korralin rxtor for like 4 mo. and the ozone too.. I know he is outta town now for a few weeks but you should try to contact him..He is sellin it for cheap!

I haven't been able to contact him, and I think they both won't handle the 420 gallons of water I have.

Corban...unless You are going to pack your 300 gal with all sps and clams you arent going to need a huge reactor..all you would have to do is use some good euro media and increase the co2 input...if you setup any reactor right you can easily get a yield of 28-38+ Dkh coming out of there.. not a measly 20 w/ their media.besides I think he wants like nothin for it.The ozone yes you might need a bigger unit to use maximium amount of o3 but in a reef I like to use smaller amounts..The whole idea is the orp can be used as sort of a signiture as to how much waste you can oxidize(breakdown)..giving you insight into your aquariums health..

I actually am borrowing Kevs ozone gen/controller right now and using it on a 450+ gal. aq. with sump volume 500+ gallons..I like using these on newly cycling aquariums because you can literally see when they are cycling and if they are truely established..first week orp 99mv, second week 110mv and so on by week 5 200 mv, and wk 6 250 mv.. ideally you are shooting for 300+ with a good signature around 35-400mv
