fiddler crabs

Anyone else feed these to their mantis?

I do, though they are about a once a month treat for my G. Tern and my O. Scyllarus. 3 bucks a pop, though I'd love to find a cheap alternative.

I usually leave 1-4 snails in each tank (6 of them) as well, along with thawed shrimp.

Funny that they'd be so pricey, what with me living in a coastal city in a coastal state and all...

California Avacados are much more expensive here than in Arizona (where i moved from in 1989) as well...

Our avacados kick butt over those tasteless smooth-skinned ones that you Floridians have...

Mu sister lives in Florida, and (she's visiting right now) she said 'We have little crabs all over the place...'

Dammit...stupid EPA/Conservation laws, protecting the local crabs from the depredation of my hungry mantis (and their lackey, er me...)

The last was a joke, should anyone feel the need to wag a finger at me and 'Tsk' or some such.
