Fighting Conch and a DSB?

I have recently put a new sump in with a DSB. The DSB is 5" and measures 18"x 12". It is now starting to get a dusting of detritus and I have read that fighting conches are good detritus eaters. I am wondering if they will stir the sand too much and ruin the DSB? Any experiences?

you should be fine with them.

I would say conches would be just fine with a DSB, but that does also depend on what your definition of a DSB is. My definition is at least 6".

They're good cleaners. Out of season right now for the suppliers, apparently, but good if you can find one.
