Fighting Conch -free

Anyone want a fighting conch? He's around 2-3 inches long. He was in my big tank until I went bare bottom, and he's been living in the nano for 6+ months, but he's really too big for a 16 gallon tank.

Let me do some checking. Can I keep my place in line for a little while? :)

I had a bad experience with chitons. They did a 40 grit sanding job on a tank!

These guys are awesome, but they need sand and a bit of room. I no longer have sand in the big tank, and there is not enough room for him in the IM 16 tank. If you are looking for somebody to stir your sand and eat off your sand I would recommend picking one up!

ThreeMoneyJ, just wanted to say thanks for the conch! It's such an odd creature. It's become a real hit with my wife and I. Trying to find it every time we look in the tank is our new game. Sightings of just the eyes is very cool!

They can damage acrylic. Mine did. I could hear it rasping away at night.

Well thanks for chiming in NOW! :) The beast has gone into stealth mode!

As long as it stays in the sand and doesn't rasp into the show acrylic, I'm not too worried about it. Wonder how long it would take to structurally damage the tank?

I had an old tank that had, what I believe to be, chitons. They liked the 2-3 inches above the sand. Looked like someone had used 40 grit sand paper!
