Fighting Conch Snail

I bought a fighting Conch Snail last month, and I have not been disappointed by the purchase. He is approximately 6" long. He stays on the glass where the green algae is baked on. I cannot tell if he is removing it, or leaving it.
Any previous, or current owners of Fighting Conch Snails out there?
