I was looking at the fighting conch on liveaquaria and was wondering everyone's opinion on these. Is a 65 gallon with a lot of lr big enough for one because I hear they get up to 4 inches. I just wanted one because I hear they are good sand sifters. Any comments or experiences appreciated. Thanks.

I have two in my 52g---by accident. Hilda the Miracle Conch hid out for several months and I'd given her up for dead, so I got a Tongan conch. Of course she immediately reappeared. They're both small, haven't grown much, but do quite nicely. They both vanish for a week at a time, then come back up. The Tongan can actually climb over low rock ridges in the sand. I wouldn't be without them.
