Fighting coronate jellyfish polyps

I have a tons of these guys in my tank. The ones near my SPS and zoas are irritating them. I've been yanking them out with tweezers, but they are still causing problems and spreading like crazy.

Are there any known predators? Do I just keep on yanking them out?

i have the same problem and no idea where they came from, or how to get rid of them. my next thing is to try a pep. shrimp

A local person has them as well, but says they are not spreading as fast as mine. I wonder if something in my tank is contributing to their growth. Nitrites, nitrates, ammon., and phosphates are all consistently zero, though I do feed heavily. I also have a DSB.

If you find any information please let me know.

wont work with peps.. at least mine dont touch them, and have never ever heard of them eating them. only thing that ive heard that MIGHT work, and to varying degrees are copperband butterflys.

I had a pest polyp recently that I couldn't ID.
Anyone have any pics of these coronate polyps, or others?

I finally killed mine by removing the piece of LR, covering the polyp in kalk, and then torching it. The kalk alone didn't kill it.

EDIT: I just stated a link about mine here-Polyp

As it turns out, I have the same things. And they're spreading pretty damn fast! I too thought that they were hydroids at first. I tried to inject 'em with a calcium supplement, but it didn't work. Even using an insulin needle (29 gauge), the needle just barely fit into the "tube".

I'm going to try the tweezer method to see if I can thin out their numbers.

I'll be checking back to see if anyone has good ideas on how to get rid of 'em (I was hoping there would be a type of shrimp that would enjoy them, but I guess not).
