Fiji Biotope

Hmmmm....let's think. Where do BTA's, acropora, and other SPS's live together in Fiji? Also, on parts of Live Aquaria, like here, they tell the depth and location of which the mother specimen was collected. I want my biotope to be at a depth of about 25 ft. Now what else do I need to find out?

Im my trip to fiji, I found just about every coral commonly available to the traid.

SPS, yellow leathers, green finger leathers, zoo's, GPS, plates, brains, meats, lobo's, monti caps, xenia, millie's, acro's, RBTA's, GBTA's, ritteri's, carpets(yellow and purple too), staghorns, encrusting monti's, canations, chilli's, xmas tree worms in porite's, maxima's, squamosa's, acan's and more and most all where together at some point.

most balmies(sp?) had sps and yellow leathers up top, lower down were acro's, xenia and zoo's, then under ledges were the carnations and gorgs with tons of feather stars. granted this was in some VERY nutrient rich waters so there wasnt much of the light levels you would expect to see.

fish was a LOOOOT of lyretail anthia's, yellow puffers, regal angles and parrots mostly.

Thanks. Can anyone please give me a list and brief description of all the geographical reef biotopes?

EDIT: Actually, I think it'd be better/easier to just give me a list of the low-nutrient rich, fairly highly lit, geological places.

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but I'll give you my 2cent's worth.
I went to Fiji this summer and dove in two places.
Taveuni and Kadavu (http://www.divefiji.com/)

Taveuni (Somosomo Straight) had very few hard corals left(water is too hot).
Mostly purple and white softies.
The pictures EnderG60 posted pretty much shows it.

South by Kadavu the Hard corals were most impressive.

I have some pictures and film clips of it that I can give you
though the colors are not great (I needed a better light).
They are rather large files so I'b have to compress them to MPEG.

Alright. I need a list of possible geographic biotopes (I.e. lagoon, rocky ledge, etc.) and a brief description of each(I.e. amount of light, coral variety, etc.).

I don't know why, but I just don't feel right with creating tanks unless they are biotopes.

I can't agree more with this. To me it doesn't achieve the goal of similating nature... that's the whole fun of it in my opinion.
