Well they laid eggs and they looks as if they are going to hatch so they are moved into a 10 gal tank!So we will see if they hatch!Just thought I would share!
The parents were bought as 2 individuals and they spawned 1 year after we had them.I would say that they are atleast 18 months if not older! They are bgeing kept in a 30 gallon reef tank! They eat flake food and mysis only!I dont know what else you might be looking for but hope this helps ya!
No we did not set up any special tank. They spawned on a tile that I placed in the tank for the clowns.Once I seen the eggs ready to hatch(the 5th night)I took them out and placed them in a 10 gallon tank with 5 gallons of water and placed a bubbler under the eggs so they would be moved around and not have anything settle on them!Righ tnow Im feeding small thawed baby brine shrimp. They seem to be taking to that pretty well.Im also feeding a liqued food that I had for the freshwater fish that I breed. They also seem to be LOVING that food!
I agree with Andy - Chrysiptera larvae feeding on frozen baby brine shrimp would be a world's first. You may be seeing an avoidance response from the larvae when they get close to the brine shrimp, and not a feeding response. Still, wouldn't that be ironic that all our searching for smaller/better live food items, and it turns out that all larval damsels want is really large, dead prey(grin).
Even s Strain Brachionus doesn't seem to work for Chrysiptera on any consistent basis. I think that Arcartia nauplii might be a good bet to augment the rotifers.

We have a dozen of his fish's offspring but they haven't spawned for us yet.
