Filter Direct RO/DI

When you say 0 TDS tell the whole story. You are deceiving new buyers. Tell them the raw water TDS, post RO TDS and RO/DI TDS and how long your DI lasts until you see a reading of 3 TDS.
I can get 0 TDS with a little bowl filled with DI resin, for a short time anyway.
The difference in filter quality and life of the DI resin is tremendous between the Typhoon III and a Filter Direct unit. There really is no comparison.

i would definitely go with the typhoon III over the filter direct. better all around quality imo. it will cost you less in the long run.

my aquasafesystems unit has been going for 9 months and still at 0 TDS. granted my tap water is only 70-80 TDS going in. i have yet to change any of the filters. i have about $150 in it including the TDS meter and all the shipping. 0 TDS is 0 TDS! and i get it for $50 less. hhhmmmmm im happy!

You didn't read my post! What is the RO only TDS not the RO/DI TDS? Most of us are not fortunate enough to have water as good as yours but the RO product water is the important number, the DI is a crutch to prop up a poor performing membrane.

the tds pre di is the indicator of how good your unit is working. i like the typhoon for it's use of the prefilters in correct micron order (10, 5, 1) and the filmtec membranes. plus you get the pressure gauge and tds meter. i don't think there are any units out there that compare to this at $200.

Once your TDS gets much over 3 the DI resin is used up and begins to release things back in to the treated water. Don't let it get much higher than that or you are asking for problems.
