hi i am looking at a lifereef LF1-125 and a AE tech ETSS system and want to no if anyone has any opionions on these systems, good/ bad/ problems! please if anyone can help me decied on what system i will buy please help!!! thanks in advance

Both work. In my experience after a few months/years AE tech's seals come undone. They may have corrected the problem, but I'll never buy etss again.
Needle wheel & beckett type skimmers seem to be the best thing going right now, I have a recirculating octopus skimmer that I love.

Don't know about the AE Tech, but Lifereef is a quality product. After seeing some of Jeff's work at a LFS I bought a LF1-200.

Jeff does build some quality stuff right from own home. His VS3-48" and VS3-72" work very well. It is designed for long contact time and the effluent from the skimmer is dark black syrup. Also the skimmer is deead silent. You can't tell it's on without looking at it!
