So I've used Accurel nitrate reducing filter pad for years and I've been happy with the results. A week ago I decided to try an activated carbon pad since I'd read that it would reduce nitrate as well as other contamination. However after I've put this in my skimmer has started to bubble like crazy and my sump is loaded with bubbles as well. They don't feel or look oily like soap and I would never have soap anywhere near my tank. Any thoughts on the possiblity of the pad having a residue even after I rinsed it that could cause this?
