filter sock material ?

What's the best material to use...polyester, nylon, mesh...
there are so many to choose from.

Filterbag.com has quite an assortment, with so many micron ratings. I know 100 is the best micron rating, but what about material?

Take a look at the applications tab on the website. The is an aquarium filtration section. Bag PONG100P4P is the most common.

I used 100% polyester felt from Joans for my DIY filter sock, I think it's ~100micron as it got filled faster than the 200micron filter sock I bought from LFS. I don't think it's the best material but the only thing I can find locally and it's dirt cheap.
