What would be the best kind of filter to use on a 30 gallon corner tank? I do not have room to put sump under my tank.

Good live rock/ live sand and a skimmer.

I have live rock and sand. Also have a filter but I do not like the way it works.

Get a AquaC Remora skimmer. It is a hang on back simmer so it will work fine. You don't absolutly have to run a filter but if you really want to run carbon I have always liked the Emperor filters. They make a smaller one that should work well.
