filtering

i have a 72 gal with a 30 gal. sump. do i need to run any filter socks or anything? i do have a skimmer and a area for the refugium but nothing else that filters. getting ready to start it up.

Just use a bunch of live rock, perhaps even in the sump, thats what I do. I also believe in running carbon and a phosphate remover in a canister. The filter sock shouldn't be needed.
