Finally! ATI and kessils came together!

After much much research and some saving along with coaxing the wife we finally got our ATI and kessils up together.

Both her and I are anal about sleek nice and clean lines so I had a lot of thinking to do.

Came up with the idea of carefully drilling the side of the console and attaching some surveillance camera mounts to which I mounted and angled the kessils.

Wife was the powerhorse of the mcgyvering that's for sure!

Low and behold finally done! Now just to program the bulbs fan re program kessils since I'll certainly have to reduce power and wait to see what happens.

What I can tell you instantly is that there are spots in our tank that I never knew existed before! The T5s are doing a fantastic job lighting up those shaded spots.

We're so excited. If you can't already tell!

Feedback welcome!

do the kessils look like spot lights since they are so close to the water?

I think the picture makes them seem a little closer than they are. I recognize kessil recommends hanging approximately 8" off the water, however I turned down the intensity due to the addition of T5s and also our tank is really deep thus their height there.

I'd say there 4-5" off the water and I do not think they look like spotlights honestly.

Nice, this is exactly what I want on my 120g, right now I have panorama pro strips and my geismann T5, but I want to swap to kessils as I think I'll get a lot more shimmer and PAR value.
I bet you're getting nice shimmer w/ those kessils.

Really do look awesome. The kessils have amazing shimmer but the T5s are overpowering the shimmer a tad. Still there. Just not nearly as noticeable but can't win them all. I'm just excited to see coral colors change hopefully!

Hopefully the added intensity won't bleach things. Take it slow. Maybe raise the fixture if needed. Looks like they hang even or below the black trim.

Looks great though, nice work.

Water line is 2" below trim. But I agree.

Kessils were at 65% previously now toned down to ramp up/down to/from 40%

I think that'll be a good starting point.

Very nice, when you say the t5 overwhelm the shimmer, do you mean completely or do you still have noticeable shimmer?

If i were to quantify it the shimmer has reduced by ~60% honestly but it's still present enough for me to justify the setup.

You can see the reflection on our wall/ceiling and it's mostly if not all kessil shimmer

They are 360we

I've only had it running for two days. No noticeable changes yet but throughout my research members seem to love this setup. I will definitely comment later on once and if I see changes.

I wasn't a T5 believer, and I didn't think there were any shadows or anything but once the T5s light up there were parts of our rockscape and tank I didn't even know existed!!!! So now I'm definitely a believer of that!!!!!!

Regarding the lighting potential I wholeheartedly recommend running his setup.

I'm sure I'll also recommend it's performance later on :)
