finally got a D60

i picked up my first dslr today, and i am pretty excited... i have a few ? first will sigma macros work with nikon. next what editing software is good for photo editing?

Did you get the software that came with the camera? You can try that first. I also use photoshop elements. You can get a trial version of lightroom from adobe.com.

yes i did get the software...havent even open the box(still at work) i will try that first ..i have an old photoshop that i will give a shot as well

Sigma makes nikon-mount lenses AFAIK.

I didn't see the part about the sigma lenses. Yes most nikon mount sigma lenses will work on the d60. You may not have auto focus if they don't have an internal motor in them though.

ok so took a few shots in raw and they uploaded to my comp. in NEF. format..now nothin will open them in that...what do i do?

Nef is nikons version of raw. Did you install the software that has the drivers and picture perfect on it?

That is with the 18 -55 , but I want to get the Tamron 90 mm, and a decent tripod.
