Finally got here!

Well as most of you already know I was picking up my tank from glasscages this week and driving to florida to set it up. The good news is the tank is here and exactly what I wanted. The low iron glass was worth every penny its so much clearer than the regular pane. The badnews is that the tank is still on the trailer and I'm in the process of painting the room and drilling the overflow holes into the stand. It should go on tonight pending if I can get enough people rounded up for the event lol. I will post pics of everything next month when i get some high speed internet. Until then peace out.

lol yea i here that! Tank is in room on stand, this thing is an absolute beast. It took 8 guys to lift it and we had a rough time with it. I'm going to start plumbing this weekend but the hard part is over in my opinion. Its a relief to know its finally here and over.

??? how tight should I make the bulkheads? just hand tight or should i turn on them with a handtool, i don't want to crack the glass..... i got them handtight right now like you would with an oil filter seems really snug but don't want a leak.

Hand tight then water test em. If anything drips either replace the gasket or silicone the joint.

I have dial up here so I can't but once i get a upgraded I'll start a log and back track everything i did. I'm taking pics of each step. I'm way behind thou, I haven't even plumbed it or gotten the magic marker off the glass yet. its a long way from where it needs to be within the next week.
