Horrible...HORRIBLE pic, but here 'it' is. Dark purple all the way around with yellowish accents (legs, eyestalks etc)

Can't see a meral spot or any other identification other than hes a smasher.

I love the idea of a purple mantis. Unfortunately the pictures don't show any featurs to ID it. Have you seen the Meral spots?

Ther merals are on the rap appendages near the 'U spring' right ?

I saw purple color there (like his body) except for his whitish calcium clubs

Color varies in this and other species so color it shouldn't be used for identification. The Meral IS the U shaped spring. For this species the "meral spots flesh toned with thin red streaks around the periphery."
When you move it get some tight shots of the tail, head and merals if possible or post what color they are.
