Finally got them spawning on a slate.

You probably remember me scraping the last spawn off the back glass I probably shouldn't have done that. This time they spawn on a piece of my old freshwater Angelfish slate I cut up and placed in the tank that's had thousand of eggs on it before. Much easier than trying to siphon them out on hatch night. :beer:

thats awesome! .. so what do you do know? take the piece of rock out and place it in another tank? Was it just luck that they laid the eggs there or they would do it there because its a flat surface?
 
Yes, I have the slate on a piece of putty, the night of the hatch will be 9 days from today for my pair. I will take it out and put it in this tank. I have done this before.
