finally had enough

I'm glad things are improving but did you say you've added new fish? I'm not sure that's a good idea, unless you've got another QT set up (ie not adding them to the ich infested QT or the ich infested DT). Maybe I'm reading this wrong?

2 yellow tangs aren't going to work out super well in a 40 gallon either...

Anyway, not trying to be negative, just don't want you to going through another cycle of fish loss. Good luck, ich is a real beast to deal with.

Yea i know what you mean and yes i did add new fish to the only QT i have.
Its only one yellow tang. My first had something strange happen, an inconclusive death. Possibly couldnt handle the copper as well as the other 2 fish.

Yes i kno it restarts the clock but in the long run ill have my QT setup less than the first 72 + 72 days for snother group. My two other fish seem happier with more fish now. Hsppier fish means less stressed = faster defense against the ich.

You should at the very least get the copper down to .25so the newly added fish can become acclimated to the copper, then, after 48 hours raise it to .5 and start the count down.
