Thank bro, I appreciate the complements and comments. Getting rid of the corals and fish is bordering on heartbreaking but unfortunately it has to be done. I would love to bring some frags over but I don't see that as a possibility, especially considering the thin ice I am on with immigration. In my next tank I want to concentrate on having a few very large show pieces rather then a large collection of small colonies. I hope on having the vast majority of the cube as open sand and water to begin with.
Most important lessons from this tank;
1) Easy water changes accomplished with a chamber that can be easily isolated, dumped, mixed, and monitored.
2) I want to try the balling method to gain more control of my parameters. I was planning on switch this tank over but now I don't have time to test it properly.
3) I like SSB much better then BB. My tank was BB for the majority of its existence but the recent addition of sand makes a HUGE difference both visual and the way the fish behave IMHO.
4) I think I'll never keep a tank without some sort of "reef safe" eel after this one. The snowflake eel is far to unique and interesting to not keep one.
5) The many strengths of a aquarium controller and what can be done with it. Makes life a lot easier.
That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure there is a 100 other small things that I can't remember right now. Hope that at least helps a little bit.
