I just moved over my corals from my frag tank tonight. It has a 250k DE radium. We shall see how they do. They are looking great at the moment full polyp extension. From what I am reading it is normal for corals to turn brown at first then color back up in a week or two. When they come back the colors are better then ever.
The company I linked above is amazing thus far. Great customer service. When I ordered them by mistake I ordered 3 instead of two at like 12am. I sent them an email immediately and they refunded my money a by 1am. The shipping was great, free from Canada for two 10lb boxes. It took 4 days to get them. The packing looked great no scratches or broken glass. The fans are crazy quiet compared to most lights. They are way way way more quit then the outer-orbit I replaced. I will get some close ups soon.
Coral shots today! Five days under LEDs everything looks great and with the 90 degree temps earlier this week and I haven't turned my AC on yet the tank hasn't gone about 78.9. Lighting schedule is as follows.
3am- 11am frag tank 250 watt DE metal halide.
12pm-12am 20k blue LEDs on the main tank.
3pm-10pm 8500k white LEDs main tank
These together make around 14k day time light.
6:30-10:30 refrugium 130watts of power compact.
Thought I would spark up a little conversation in this ghost town of a forum...
To answer your question I am more then happy with them I am seeing growth equal to that of any MH's I have run.
Here are some picture of some colonies I have in my frag tank. So if anyone in interested I can clip you off some frags for a great price...
