my clowns have been together for almost exactly one year, the female has been with me for 2 years and they did the occasional dance for some time and went into an RBTA 3 months ago. my tank got moved 3 weeks ago, setup has stayed the same but they get more food now as i can care for them 6 days a week.
BUT now the female does something new: she swims around looking at rocks and swirls next to them to fan up detritus, picks at rocks and eats like a pig.
she is still small compared to large perculas ive seen at any LFS, but she seems to be at least 2 years old.
now my questions
how long does it take for a pair to spawn? how old do the fish have to be for spawning? do i interpret her behaviour right - well i might see that soon
please share your experience of the pre-spawning period
