Finding safe foam mat to insulate sump?

Looking to insulate the inside of the sump to keep noise and vibrations to a minimum. Anyone know where to get some that won't chemically react with the water?

Is there a reason you can't use a sound insulating material around the exterior of your sump?

I thought if you isolate all the pumps and all the cannisters like those from 2little fishes w/ rowa/carbon from the glass that would be the most effective.

I'm having problems visualizing exactly what your are trying to do. If you can use rubber suction cups and attach pumps.... and reactors, I would think the suction cups would prevent vibration. Putting some kind of foam in your tank would possibly collect debris......other items that you may not want to happen.

I use silicone "hot pads" made for the kitchen with good results.

costco- $20 for their car or truck floor mats will get you enough pure rubber(or at least surely pure enough ive used them for years) to use to insulate everything reef related you would need to for the rest of your life......or the rubber you need + a couple of nice floor mats
