Finger Leather and the green thing :)

I have two questions.

One is I have read up on finger leather fragging and see people say to cut atthe base or cut a full stalk. The other says cut off a finger. I have a finger leather (devils hand I think) that has a really big base. Can anyone suggest where to cut to make several small frags. I'm not a huge fan of this coral and would love to trade it away.

Second I added a pic of this weird green tube. I knocked it off a rock and it popped back up on a rock some how. Any ideas on what it is?

Im no help, Just wanted to say I have never seen anything like the green thing and it is weird to me too, lol. I am curious to know what it is. This is one example why saltwater is so interesting to me...

If it is neomeris annulata I would be careful. Read a thread about a month ago (don't remember the title) where it took over his/her entire tank. Couple people posting stated similar experiences with it.

Finger leathers & devil's hand leathers are 2 different things. Yours is a finger leather. Here's a vid for fragging finger leathers.
