finger leather

Hi, have a large finger leather that had attached to a rock I did not want it attached to. Asked a fellow reefer and he said to rip it off, any damage and it will recover no problem. Is this the way to go? Thanks

I had one attached to two rocks. i pull it off and so far good. It been a week now.It is healing. I didn't know if it was ok or not but i did it anyway.

Tore it from the big rock it had been attached to. Still on the original fist sized rock. Shrivelled up and grey. Hope it will recover from the trauma.

It should recover but I would of cut instead of tearing it off the rock

So razor blade it as close to the rock as possible? Thanks for that, will remember to do so in future.

Just be sure to cut all of it off the rock cause any remainder piece could start another "finger"
