Finicky Fish

Hi,

I've wanted to try my hand at a multibarred angel (Centropyge Multifasciata) for some time now. My 120G reef was empty of fish (some percs will go back in soon), so I figured now was a perfect time.

Essentially my display is going to be my QT. That way I figured the multibarred will have LR to pick at (which he has been doing extensively), while I try and train him to eat prepared foods.

He has only been in the tank for a day now, early I know, and doesnt seem interested in flake pellet or pe mysis. I am going to try and get some regular mysis, cycopese, and other frozen food to try and feed him. I did see him eat mysis at the store, so I am hoping after he settles in he will at least start eating mysis again. LFS had him for 3 weeks, I have been checking on him every week and decided to go for it.

I am looking for advice on how to train him to eat the food I feed. How have you guys trained finicky fish to eat what you want? Should I feed on a schedule? Same foods same time? Etc? Lemme know.

Here is a picture;

Update...

I have tried pellets, flakes, mysis, brine, pe mysis. Nothing yet. He seems to be scared of the floating particles. Very easy to spook. I will keep adding the food multiple times a day. He does seem to be consuming quite a few pods from his foraging during the day which hopefully help the transition.

I have to buy some frozen cyclopese still and try that. Do you think it will be worth while to get some clams from the grocery store?

I am still looking for advice on how and what to feed. Anyone'e experience would be appreciated.
