Moved apartments and stepped up to a 55 to start rebuilding after i lost everything but a clown and some zoas in the winter.

I now have
2 occ. clowns
citron clown goby
2" yellow tang to be rehomed when it grows.

I know i'd like to get a wrasse of some sort to clear up flat worms. Considering something other than 6line but dont know what. Any suggestions for a wrasse and any other neat 'personable'? fish. I love this little citron goby, the tang and clowns are more obligatory than anything i really think are fun to watch.

The store has some bartlett anthias which look amazing but they seem to have large tank requirements. Im not sure why though. I'd love to do a trio of those if i could get away with it.

While we're at it what are some neat inverts to have. I really want an arrow crab but have heard they have issues. Id like to do a long spine urchin but dont know much about them.

If you honestly want advice, get rid of the tang.

Cool fish for a 55 would be:

Flame Angel
Jawfish (if sandbed is adequate)
Flame Hawk
Royal Gramma
Pistol Shrimp/Goby pair
Any kind of Cardinals
Diamond Goby

Things along those lines...nothing that needs tons of swimming room.

The tang thing didnt take long.

How are diamond gobies long term? There is only so much food in an aquarium sand bed.

No not really, unless you'd like to make it one. The gf liked it and the little guy is maybe the size of a 50cent piece body wise and eating fine, he'll be moved on when he gets bigger. If you want to argue a 2" juvie. fish is cramped in a 4' tank then i guess adult YT need 12' foot or bigger tanks minimum.

Anyways, any advice about those diamonds. I know a friend had one that died in a few months but not sure of the cause.

A few years ago, my gf wanted a Koran Angel. She was a big girl and when explained why it wasn't appropriate for my tank, she said 'Awww shucks darn it'.

I've still never owned one.
