Hey all.

In the near future i will be finishing my setup and starting my cycle. I just want to run my plan by all of you experts and make sure all looks well before i finish. All comments, advice welcome.

So far i have picked up my 75gal tank, stand, hood, (added colling fans to hood) 75 gpd rodi, 45 gal sump/fuge (13gal fuge w/dsp and macro) and a 1 koralia #3. This wekend i will get overflow, return pump (mag drive 7) one more koralia #3 and run the plumbing. For lighting i will be getting icecap 48" 4x54W SLR T5 Very High-Output Retrofit Kit w/ Bulbs. Protein skimmer will be a aquac ev 120. Of course i will be picking up all accible test kits, refractometer and ph pen. Tank will have about 100 lbs live rock. Species i am planning to keep are

Favia sp,
Euphyllia glabrescens,
Catalaphyllia jardeni,
Wellsophyllia sp,
Acanthastrea lordhowensis,
Blastomussa wellsi,
Fungia sp,
as well as zoa's

Here are some pic's of what i have so far

Well what do you think?

Wow that set up sucks, what a piece of trash. You are such a loser.

(OK i admit it i have been drinking and am board)

But really anyone see anything i can improve on with my proposed setup for lps.

If anything I would consider not using the other Koralia. I had two Koralia 4's in an 85 gal and it was too much. My corals weren't expanding their tissue like they should have been, so I ditches the second pump and voila, they were happy once again.

Hope that helps!

As for the Elegance coral, try to get an Aussie specimen. They are reported to have a better survival rate than the indo variety. I guess the only issue is that it's going to get tough fto get your hands on some Aussie corals in America pretty soon so hunt one down now!

I'd ditch the Mag 7 and get a Eheim 1260 or 1262. IME Mag drive pump run HOT and Eheims are cooooooollllll.

Good Luck!
Ed
