Firefish in groups?

I have a 350-360ish gallon tank and was looking at getting a few fire fish. Has anyone had any success keeping large groups in a tank or only pairs.

You could try an odd number. I've always kept at least 3. The only time I had 4 was when I added a purple to the 3 reds and it was shunned.

How big was your tank? I am hoping I will have success with odd numbers like you did.

In our tank, we can only keep single for pair of firefish. I have seen field of firefish in the wild, but they always chase each other in out tank until one or two as final survival.

Scissortail dartfish or zebra dartfish can live in groups.

Firefish don't. If you are lucky enough to get a male and female that pair, it will work. Otherwise, they don't tolerate each other.

Thanks. I did some more digging and its always the pretty fish are a pain where you can only have one or bonded pair.
