Got one this weekend and I have not seen it since, looked everywhere, surely it can't be hiding in a "Nano"

When one of my Clown fish disappear, I can always find it back in the pump area.

Takes some effert to catch the list b&^$).....

Still cant figure out how it makes it through that small gap between the inside wall and the light cover, but it does. Usually about once a week.

Unfortunately they're jumpers. But there's hope! I didn't see mine for a month and I even looked in his dart hole. He must have changed holes and I had given up. Then one day there he was and he stayed out everytime I looked at the tank. This was my 3 gallon eclipse and I couldn't find him anywhere. I even removed the rock and looked in all the holes. Well I began to feel sorry for him in with the seahorses and put him in my main display. Next day he was lying there on top of the center brace dead. :( At least in the eclipse he could only jump up and hit his head.

I have looked in the back chambers, in the rock, on the floor and still can't find him.. I have not feed him in 4 days so I hope he comes out soon for some eats...

Is the top covered with a hood system? Mine stayed in his hole for so long I really really thought he was dead including when I pulled the only rock out and looked all over. There's always hope unless you see the body.

My tomato clown was in the filter area for almost a week before I found him, and I looked in there many times. Apparently I'm too short to see all the way to the bottom.

It was a PITA to get him out of there, but he didn't do it a second time. ;)

And I hate to be the one to ask, but have you checked your water params?

If mine go in my overflow I usually pull the stand pipe (good reason not to glue it in place) and before I do that I put my net under the pipe in the sump. Most the time I'm not lucky enough to catch them there. I have a mandarin goby(dragonette to be technical), and 2 chromis living in the sump and there's so much room back there I can't catch them. The mandarin is getting fat.

my firefish, you would think are dead, but they come out of their rock about once a month, you wouldn't think they could survive that long without food. even if i move the rock they dont come out, so yours just might be staying in the rock like mine
