If you have a firefish that is shy, like the one I just recently acquired, I hope this may help you as it did for me.
My firefish was obtained on Saturday of last week, today is Tuesday, so that is three days.
He went into my tank and never left underneath one rock crevice with him inbetween it and the sand bed.
I've put pellets and brine/mysis shrimp in and he never ate them.
Today I feed my corals a bunch of Kent Marine ZooPlex zooplankton and sure enough, he started to come out within a few minutes of it being in the tank and he went to town on it!
This is the product
I have had a firefish before, and he was shy as well, but it took him longer to come out (had no corals back then so didn't have the zooplex).
He may have just been hungry, but almost as soon as I put in the zooplex he came out and was eating like a pig on it, his shyness seems gone, too; since now he stays out in the water and eats frozen as well.
Just wanted to post this to see if it could be of any help to future/current owners.
(Yes, I know they are easy fish to keep, but they are shy, and I was wanting to help with that part of them
