Firefish with an Attitude

My Firefish is becomming a little bully. I have never heard of Firefish bullying other species. I knew that they may not get along with each other, but I never knew that they might pic on other types of fish. Mine likes to chase a false perc, royal gramma and even my pink damsel. He follows behind them with his mouth open and shakes his head side to side. I am sure he could catch them if he wanted, he just likes to chase them. He is almost full grown. Anyone else have a firefish with an attitude? I am going to try to snap a picture of him in the act.

It just sounds like you have a character for sure. This is not the norm, but it is certainly not unheard of. I have even seen Ptereleotris zebra being bullies. These interesting behaviors vary from individual to individual, though. IME, as long as no damage is done (all bark, no bite), there really shouldn't be a problem.

sounds like its a threat display, usually to keep other fish away from their hidy hole

He could'nt hurt a flea! Sure is fun to watch though. The other fish hardly pay attention to him when he does it. It is pretty funny to watch.
