First attempt at rearing fry

Update: I might be getting ahead of myself, but it's looking like the two survivers from the first batch might be platinums. The only orange area I see is the mouth and the rest of the body is off white with head being bright white.

Yeah. I just keep looking at them every day. Lol
Plats are nice, but I'm hoping for picassos from the 2nd batch. I have about 30 12 days old from that batch.

Wow!! Bro thats great.i collected like 8 fry from my snowcasso X cquest onyx not sure what happend to the rest everything was off lamp on after light off for 1 1/2hrs. I was going not to collect them but what the heck! I had about 60 eggs left this is hatch #2still early to move the pot I wanna see their potential on how big their nest can get and for them to get used to laying. After a few ill would move the whole pot and get 100% of hatch of the eggs that are left on hatch night
Jf2381 keep those pics coming I think one of yours is going to be an extreme the ones in your pics 1st one

Good luck with the few that you caught.

About half the fry look like the first two and the rest look like the 3rd picture from the second batch.

Great job, I could tell you did a lot of research just keep that water very clean n feed them well and you should not get no flared gills or blade problem lots of oxygen remember rotifers take away oxygen.best of luck

updated shots. I caught two and snapped some shots. They are about 2 months old
