First attempt with Clownfish Eggs

Anyone tried frozen rotifers instead of cultured? I read it from Martin A. Moe's book but not sure how much it is good.

Larvae have poor eyesight and need moving prey to trigger their feeding instinct. The same reason why OTO A doesn't work for the first few days.

very nice and great deal of info, my clown laid eggs as well and they are on the rock, but i am not going to do anything since i don't have the setup ready. but i am working on getting my rotifer culture started and phytoplankton culture ready then i will wait for next batch

It's good to watch the first few clutches of eggs to hatch so you get a better idea when hatch night is.

I pulled my rock too early so my overall hatch rate was low but now that I know the breeding parents rhythm I get way higher hatch rates by pulling the rock on day 9 (that's when my eggs hatch, but 8 is generally typical)
