First Clam

I just purchased a clam from my local dealer and its a corcea. I have a 55 gallon tank that is 24" deep. My lighting setup is VHO's. My question is how high should the clam be from my lighting. any help greatly appericated.

as high up as possible b.c. Crocea clams are the most light demanding.. when you can, get MH's JMO

I agree with everyone here, as high up as you can, and upgrade to MH as soon as you can

Agreed. Upgrade to MH or send the clam to a tank that has them. The local stores (I see you are from N.O. too) keep them under MH bulbs for a reason! For the mean time, move him up as abolutely high as possible. (like a couple of inches from the daylight bulbs)

What kind of (number/wattage/spectrum) vho's do you have?

Thanks for the suggestions. I am currently planning a 150 gal tank. The MH wil be on this tank but its a couple months out.
