First Duncan frag.

I got a frag with 2 heads in March. Fed it chunks of fish 2-3 times a week. Now it has about 20 heads and I stopped direct feeding it and its growth has slowed but it is still doing well. As far as fragging goes, I've had luck ****ing it off so it retracts most of the way and trying to get atleast some of the bone. That way you can just superglue it to a plug or rock. Atleast thats how I do it.

Here is the duncan i picked up.

I see what you mean about the plastic plug. Very Un-natural looking !
You could very easily use some marine putty to cover up the pastic and make it look like LR. I use Oatey Fix-it stick from Home Depot works great.

You can see how I mounted these Duncan frags with the putty and how it looks. After a month or so, they actually blend in to the rock or the duncan encrust over it.

I have mine in the sand in medium flow and he has grown 7 heads in about a month! They are under 2 150 watt mh lights.

Do you just mold it like clay? I don't have to take out the rock, do I? I'm guessing this stuff is safe for the water.

Yeah, basically you cut a piece off and you just work the inner and outer epoxys together till they are mixed and mold it like clay. It is safe for your livestock but may make the protein skimmer go crazy for a bit. So make sure you are around for a while to empty your skimmate cup.

I bought my Duncan with 4 heads for $30. Just depends on lfs. They grow fast enough to frag and then sell to get initial investment back.
