First fish, ocellaris or diamond watchman goby, or??

Haha, well I'm glad it wasn't just mine!

Well, it is done. I got 2 ocellaris clowns today. They are small, about 1.5". They were in the same tank and were swimming all around with each other. They are in QT now. I was surprised that soon after going in QT they started bickering and outright fighting! But now they seem ok, so I'm not sure what to think. There are several PVC parts to hide in, which they are. So we'll see how it turns out. Will try feeding tomorrow. Will get some pics then! Lights out for today.. :)

my ocellaris bicker at times sorting things out but most the time they are ok.....if they are the same size they will be sorting out who is gonna be the dominant one and such.....as the others said, some fighting is normal, shredding fins ect isnt good.....my wife has a normal and a black one in her tank and are two of her favorite fish because they are interactive, they follow you around through the glass and insist on being front and center when you try and look at other things......these two beg for food all day long aswell, no matter if they just ate or not....

they also are copycats, they started by following around the tiger watchman goby trying to sift sand....now they think they are chromis and are always swimming around with them....lately they have taken to sittin next to the orchid dottyback by his favorite hangout.....dont think they know they are clownfish :hmm3:

Yeah, they are pretty much the same size. I think one may be just a tiny bit bigger than the other. They have been doing fine today. No bickering at all... I'm surprised they aren't very finicky or scared to be seen. I hope they stay this way :)

The LFS guy has a cinnamon clown and the guy could take a pinch of flake food and let the clown eat it out of his hand. It was very cool to see!

they are a great starter fish cause they are colorful, practically insist on being out in the open and are interested in whats going on outside the tank aswell......our 72 gallon is on the one of the long walls in the basement and as you walk around the room the clowns follow you around from one end of the tank to the other....

I believe ORA states all there mandarins are trained to eat frozen food. Dont have any first hand knowledge on that though.

Yep, rattler, these two seem to be the same way somewhat, and should be more curious as they get comfortable with the new tank. They are already eating Formula 1 pellets, so I'm happy about that, even though I'm going to try a little marine cuisine tonight.

Donkeykong, that's good to know about the ORA mandarins. I'll have to do some research on that! I don't know much at this point about ORA or what it is or what they do. Dang, everyday there is more and more stuff to research and read!! :D

Their captive bred ones do. In theory. People have had issues. But it's a better bet. Plus captive bred means one less fish taken from the reef.
