first focus stack

I finally took the time to start trying to learn this technique.

Camera was on a tripod, Canon 100mm Macro with a full set of Kenko extension tubes. Camera was tethered to a Cam Ranger (allows you to use an ipad as a control for the camera). Manual focus, 17 images, processed with Helicon Focus, then run through Elements.

It is definitely not perfect...so now the learning curve begins!

But, I was pleased with the results of my first try...

that's really good for a first try. what software are you using?

Nothing to critique really - its jus a bit of an art seeing how many photos to shoot (more is not necessarily better) and the parameters of your software.
