First LPSs arriving tomorrow, best way to acclimate?

My Acan Lord Brain and Neon Duncan will be arriving tomorrow morning. These are my first LPS corals (my only other purchased coral is a Zoa :p) and I want to make sure I acclimate them correctly! I purchased some coral rx for these new additions btw.

I am planning on drip acclimating them for 45 minutes, adding some coral rx to the bucket, stirring the water and then let it sit for 5-10 minutes with the corals. After which I'll rinse them with a small cup of tank water and place them in my tank. Is this the correct method? Also, should I wear rubber gloves when handling these corals or will I be safe going barehand?

Thanks!!!

The corals are going to be here within 2 hours, can anyone offer advice or confirm if the method I have planned is correct?

i think its late, but i think you did it just fine. I never actually use things like coral rc but if you have it then why not. Also, barehand is just fine

dipping is always good, and then a good rinse with tank water, if i get the coral through the mail, from what i've read here and also have done successfully, temp acclimate them, open the bag and pull the coral out and directly into your dip container that should be filled with tank water and coral rx as long as the salinity and temp match, reason being everything is building up in the bag and when it hits the fresh air, i believe a reaction occurs with the ammonia to make it toxic. if i get them from the local guy or FS, since they are both only a half hour or so away i'll drip acclimate those additions and then temp acclimate, then dip, then into the tank. I used to think it was a long drawn out process and have to do everything a certain way, but the more i read and see, the more i found out just how resilient most coral are.

oh yeah, acans and duncans are resilient, my duncan grew very well in less than ideal conditions, one of my acans came in and the bag leaked out all the water while in transit, dipped and threw him right in the tank, he's just fine now.

Thanks for the tips guys, but yes, they were *super* late :p
I made a thread on "new to hobby" when the corals arrived out of desperation and got some replies. The salinity of the seller's tank was the same as mine so I just floated them for 30 minutes, poured them into a small tub, added the coral RX, stirred and let them sit for ~10 minutes then rinsed them and placed them.

The Duncan opened up in about 2 hours of placing it!

Feed that duncan some mysis once a week and you'll have a colony very soon. Mine grew from 1 head to 12 heads in 5 months. Im sure others have had even faster growth.

I'll spot feed all my lps with brine, mysis and coral frenzy, getting nice growth out of everything this way, do it about 2 times a week, but only because i enjoy feeding them.
