First Meeting

I will host the first meeting for sure now. It will be later in the afternoon, because we have a football game in the morning and a soccer game in the later morning or early afternoon. I am thinking it will be on the 12th and we can shoot for around 4pm. I am not 100% sure on the date yet, and if it changes for any reason it will be on the following saturday. I will the for sure date tomorrow.

Maybe we can get some cornhole and beer drinking going on as well.... either way, it is time to get the new season started.
 
Well if you cant get a date set phil can we have a backup plan? I will need something a little more concrete The holiday weekend would be great I am sure . I just dont want to be in the last week of september and we havent started yet.
 
Like I said it will be on the 12th or the 18th, and I will know by tomorrow for sure, if not later tonight. I will post it on here, the club forum, and send out an email to all that we have emails for tomorrow as well. I thought about the holiday weekend, but I figured most people would have something else already planned.
 
oh its all good. That just might be the last weekend I have off. lol. well its all good.
 
Depending on if I get this new job, it might be the last weekend I have off for awhile as well..... the joys of jobs.... Just that Meagen said she thought she(we) had something planned on the 12th, so she was going to go through her calendar in the morning and double check.
 
Also, if everyone could start thinking of a month that would work for them for hosting, that would be great. The more we can get setup early, the easier it makes it for all of us to plan out.
 
We usually start with club business, and then move into the host talking about his or her tank. We have has a few members do some DIY projects that were pretty cool. We had one member show us how to frag certain corals.

Last year we had a raffle at every meeting with $5 tickets, with some great prizes for all. We got really lucky last year with a few of the sponsors and outside vendors that members had contacts with.

There was talk about doing a 50/50 raffle at the meetings as well, and if members want to do this, I am all for it.

The meetings usually end up with people talking amongst each other and just hanging out.

I plan on drinking a little at this one, and I am trying to see if I can get ahold of a set of corn hole boards for afterwards as well.
 
Others are always welcome by all means. My wife has been coming to them for a little bit now. We do have several women in the club as well.
 
Yea My sisters B day party is that day. So if I dont have to work I will be heading out of town. as well. So sorry all I wont be there either.
