First Monti Cap/ Doing OK?

Sorry about the crappy iphone pics but here is what I have. My purple monti cap is white around the very edges. I know it's hard to tell from the second pic, but the underside of it is also snow white. Not all over the bottom, just around the edges.

I just want to make sure it's new growth and not death.

Definitely growth. My green monti cap just started taking off. Already encrusted on my rocks and its only been in the tank for about a week.

Cool, thank you very much. That's what I was hoping you would say, just wanted to make sure.

I've had this coral in my tank for roughly two weeks or a little less. I have read this type of coral grows fast, but I honestly didn't think it would be this fast.

looking good to me.holding color nice....lots of times corals will fade a bit before any other symtoms occur.reef on.

and to add to my comment about the color fade....i use the pink birdsnest in my tank as a signal coral of sorts...its always been one of the more...sensitive? corals in my tank.it will change its color faster than any other when things get out of wack,and vice versa.some of the acros will fade fast but then take a week or two to fully recover to full color where the birdsnest snaps back within what seems to be hours.
