Just getting into dslr. Starter camera is a Canon T5. Took a few pics with kit 18-55 lense with hood and polarizer filter. Was really supersized. What is your thoughts?

Very good first attempts. Would you mind sharing your EXIF? It looks like some of these could have used some sharpening and that may have been done when shooting by either increasing shutter speed or more DOF w/ stopping down.

These where shot on auto -flash. Just got the camera yesterday and had to try it out. Trying to get use to the camera before I try my macro lense. I'm a total noob at this.

ah, I see.

In that case, you can take pictures on auto mode and then you can review each one. When you review each one, look at what the settings are. The 3 main ones will be:
Aperture
Shutter Speed
ISO

Since the camera is choosing these for you, the camera will tend to be somewhat erratic in the settings it chooses. For this reason, you review the shots, see which ones you like and take note of the settings used.

Then, you can switch to manual mode and try to recreate these same settings. This way you get a feel for what these things do in relation to one another.

Nice! I also just got a cannon a week ago and am extremely interested in starting a bit of photography. Have you joined a photography forum or anything?? I was looking around to find somewhere to learn! like the pics, and happy shooting!
