I recently got pulled back into the reef keeping hobby with this 180 gallon monster. I'm having a lot of trouble clearing up my water of bunches of tiny particles. The tank is not "cloudy" per se. It simply has a bunch of tiny white particles floating about. My past reefs never had this problem. The water was always crystal clear. I've used plenty of mechanical filtration, water changes, and even some reef safe water clarifiers to remove it, but no matter what I do, the stuff keeps hanging around. The only thing I did different was I used more live sand this time around, thereby not rinsing it as well, but these are small white particles, not the typical dust storm that accompanies dusty sand. It's not terrible, but I just can't figure out what's going on.
