(First Reef Tank Ever) **** 600gal Display **** 1300gal System

Bart I cant wait to go to the poseidon Resort, My Girlfriend and I told our parents that if they want us married they have to pay for our honeymoon there. :)

A father and mother paying for their daughters Honeymoon just seems so wrong in so many ways lol. Though we got my GF/Fiance's dad to pay for ours =) lol

Wow, and I just saw that Poseidon resort. yes please! The sad thing is I think most of us would be too busy being in awe and amaze to do anything else lol.

reeftank6 - went through your thread, your funny but it would help if you listen to the guys, just trying to help and hate to see livestock past away. they are not trying to profit from you. my tank for the first 3-5 months had bad algae, cyano, diatoms and etc. it went through a series of outbreak and now its the best i have seen ever. every reef display takes time as i didn't realize this in the beginning and not listen to anyone and cause me to lose a lot of livestock. they told me i was adding too many things all at one time and even with top of the line equipment will not be able to keep up. so this was the biggest mistake and cost me a fortune.

danskim - its about the same as taking the family to Jamaica few yrs ago, this would be really nice as i will wait for the kids to get bigger before planning another trip

GSMguy - congrats on getting married :D. see you soon

Jflip2002 - i will make sure to take plenty of pics, by then i should have a real camera

here are some pics i took, not so great and enjoy.
i am curious to know what this is, once in awhile they show up in my display. is there something i need to be worried about, i believed its coming from the snails. sorry bout flash

great pics Bart. Those are snail eggs. Most likely ceriths. Unfortunately they most often get skimmed out or eaten in the planktonic stage, but some might survive. Nothing to worry about.

man that is insane my tank/ plumbing now looks like a goldfish bowl in comparision make sure to post pics through the setup process. great work well thought out

things look great. Those fish look happy and healthy. Looks like you have a few algae clips in there, hungry fish? How do you like your wave box?

jnarowe - thanks i always see them, so i have females and males snails :D

tbone28 - hey how about my other fish, still going strong as fingers are crossed most of the times. sorry but no t-boning here

tim.hunt7 - thanks, all i did was look at everyone setup and put mind together :D. i had no clue what a reef display was a year ago.

thirschmann - thanks as i been feeding then more then normal lately like 5 times daily . how can i resist every time i get near display? they follow me back and forth until i feed them :D

Reeftanks6 - no problems, will you start another thread :D?

PaPa_Johnny - yes took me awhile to get it right, about six months now

:D j/k tbone, that's one of my favorite one as i lost the PBT hybrid back in Oct  and LA haven't has one in awhile. this is the main reason why i haven't added tons of livestock in my display causing more stress and fighting. with orange, PBT, sailfin, yellow and kole in a mansion makes them very happy so to avoid any drama i will wait about another 3 months.

Bart i will be starting another one soon i think. I am going to think a little bit before i do. Where should i post it at?

nick540 - thanks some more SPS were ordered and will be arriving Tuesday. i will be removing all the mushrooms and placed them in 2nd fuge display.

danskim - no nemos yet, i was leaning toward the pr. black & white in few months :D.

the hardest employee finally gets to eat when everyone sleeping
