first sea star

ijust bought my first one today from the lfs. Its about 6in legtip to legtip and mostly brown, i dont know enough about them to tell what kind more specificaly. what do i need to know about these that i may not have got from the store owner or a quick internet search?

Knowing the type of star is the first step as different stars have vastly different requirements. I'm sure someone could id the star if you post a pic.

Search chocolate chip starfish. Also you really need to know what you are buying before you do so. Some critters are just destine to die in tanks and should not be purchased. Also if you have corals some stars are not reef safe.
